New railway near Kragujevac to be built – Tendering procedure for contractors opens
As said in the documentation, the rail corridor will stretch from the Sobovica-Luznice business zone to the Lapovo-Kragujevac-Kraljevo (Batocina leg) railway, in the length of 16.06 km. The construction of the new railway of 15.17 km and an industrial rail track of 0.89 km would enable the transport of passengers, materials, raw materials and finished products – trams.
The period for the preparation of the technical documentation, including the obtaining of all permits and authorizations, cannot be longer than 35% of the total deadline period for the completion of works, with the final deadline being May 1, 2021.
The deadline for the submission of bids is January 15, 2020.
General route
The entire route is located in the territory of the city of Kragujevac.
The altitude difference between the branching of the track from the existing railway and the business zone is around 130 meters. In designing the route, the configuration of the terrain needs to be followed so as to minimize the earth works and reduce the number of artificial structures to a minimum.
The intersections of the tracks with the existing roads should be rationalized, and the formed intersections of roads with the new railway need to comply with the regulations. The border elements for the planning of the route should be in line with the Regulation on Technical Conditions and Maintenance of the Railway Superstructure.
The railway should be designed for public, passenger and cargo transport at the maximum speed of 80 km/h.
