Merger of companies "Antegra", "Cardinfo" and "Pexim" - "Asseco" to merge three companies in its possession in Serbia prior to end of 2009

Multinational IT company "Asseco", with the headquarters in Poland, announced that the three of its companies that operated in Serbia would be merged by the end of the year.

- Companies "Antegra", "Cardinfo" and "Pexim" will be merged in order for the operations to be improved and made simpler - Piotr Jelensky, the Director General of "Asseco SEE", a member of Asseco Group, said at the press conference.

- "Asseco" has, so far, invested 34.9m EUR in Serbia, it has over 430 workers in the companies that deal with banking software and card business, its turnover amounts to 29.3m EUR, and the company plans to set aside total of 28.5m EUR for acquisitions in the region in the following period - said he.

Mr. Jelensky said that the level of investments in Serbia would depend on the quality of companies that were suitable for acquisition, as well as on their prices.

As he explained, the money for acquisitions is obtained from European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), which became a stockholder of Asseco Group in July 2009 through additional capitalization worth 15m EUR.
