Two-year courses also included in Law on Dual Education

The Government of Serbia has adopted the Draft Amendments to the Law on Dual Education, which further ensures the quality and application of this education model.

Aside from the educational profiles realized through three- and four-year courses, the amendments also add specialized and vocational education as well as work-based learning in two-year courses.

– We have harmonized the legislation with the provisiona on gender equality, specified that work-based learning cannot be conducted during night shifts and emphasized the occupational safety and health and determined which jobs would be hazardous to student's health and safety, the Government said in an official statement.


The Government also adopted the Draft amendments to the Law on Secondary Education which closely regulates the implementation of practical teaching and professional practice and the contents of contracts between school and employers and other issued concerning the curriculum. The conditions of the final exam have been additionally customized for students with disabilities.
