Representatives of the German company Brose and the Property Directorate of the Republic of Serbia have signed an agreement on providing 26 hectares of land in the North Industrial Zone for the construction of a facility of this Bavarian company. The investment will be worth around EUR 180 million.

The agreement was signed at the Pancevo Town Hall by the director of the Property Directorate, Nevenka Zeljkovic and the director of Brose for Serbia, Niklas Beyes, in the presence of the company's German directorate and the mayor of Pancevo, Sasa Pavlov.

Beyes said that the plan was for the first machines to be brought into the future production facilities in November 2020. The first motor components will be produced in January 2021, and the production will reach its full capacity in August.

He added that, by 2026, Brose would employ 1,100 workers, half of them engineers.

Mayor Sasa Pavlov said that the most important thing was that half the employees would be highly qualified workers and that the majority of them would be employed in production.
