New port area planned in Belgrade City territory
As said on the government’s website, that is a measure that the ministry has already envisaged in its plans for the development of water transport, in addition to the planned investments in the increase of capacities of the ports on the Danube and the Sava.
Mihajlovic pointed out that the Law on Navigation and Ports on Inland Waterways, adopted in 2010, as well as the subsequent amendments to the law, adequately regulated the transport and the reloading of oil products on rivers.
- In adopting the regulations, oil companies were provided with enough time to bring their operations in line with the law and it is up to them to honor their legal obligations - Mihajlovic said.
She emphasized that the competent ministry was not considering the possibility of extending the deadline for oil companies to harmonize with the law.
