Draft budget law for 2020 envisages RSD 95.4 billion for subsidies – Most for agriculture

Of the total expenditures within the budget of Serbia for 2020, which are planned in the amount of RSD 1,334 billion, a total of RSD 95.4 billion will be set aside for subsidies, according to the draft budget law, which is currently undergoing the parliamentary procedure.

The largest amount of subsidies, RSD 40.5 billion, is planned for agriculture.

Subsidies for the railway sector amount to RSD 14 billion, which is half a billion more than the planned subsidies for the economy (RSD 13.5 billion).


An amount of RSD 16 billion is planned for the “other subsidies” class, whereas the planned subsidies for roads amount to RSD 7.9 billion.

Subsidies for culture, according to the draft budget law, amount to RSD 2.15 billion, whereas the subsidies planned for tourism amount to RSD 1.225 billion.
