PKC, a manufacturer of wiring systems for the auto-industry, has started building new facilities at the Smederevo industrial zone, which is an investment thanks to which another 1,200 people will be employed in the upcoming years.

Mayor of Smederevo Jasna Avramovic, representatives of PKC Wiring Systems and representatives of the contractor, ITG Smederevo, attended the ceremony of the opening of the construction site. A total of 11,000 m2 of new space will be built at PKC Wiring Systems in Smederevo.

The mayor emphasized that the expansion would help raise the living standard for the people of Smederevo.

– After HBIS, PKC Wiring Systems is the most important factory, that is, facility for the city of Smederevo. This is an ecological factory, without smoke stacks – Avramovic said, as reported on the city’s website.

As announced earlier, PKC’s plan is to invest EUR 20 million in the purchase and infrastructural equipping of the land, as well as the purchase and reconstruction of the existing hall and the construction of the new part.
