Tendering procedure for reconstruction of central park in Irig opens

The municipality of Irig has opened the tendering procedure for the execution of works in two sections – the reconstruction of the central park and the development of the children's playground.

As stated in the tendering documentation, the preparatory works include the cutting down of trees, the demolition of the existing sidewalks, pathways and fountain, as well as earth works which entail the procurement of humus, among other things.

The construction of the road structure will follow – the procurement of crushed stone, interlocking paving slabs and concrete slabs.

The project of the reconstruction of the park, prepared by Andzor Engineering d.o.o. Novi Sad, envisages the removal of the existing footpath along Vojvode Putnika Street, for safety reasons, and the laying down of the precipitation sewerage drainage system. The park fountain will be kept, and the area around it will be reconstructed and developed and feature new benches.

A small square with a monument is planned for the central area of the park, and a fountain is planned as well.

When it comes to the second section, the development of the children's playground, the project envisages wooden playground equipment, and the area within the playground will be covered in tartan.

The public invitation is open until November 25, 2019.
As eKapija has already reported, the park reconstruction should begin in early 2020.
