Italian factory Refrion opens in Sabac – Expansion of production planned
David Tomasin, the general manager of the new company, announced the expansion of the production before the end of 2019, it is reported on the city’s website.
– We have years of experience with the City of Sabac. The first project was realized in 2007, and the cooperation has continued since, to mutual satisfaction. In order for us to produce, we needed a large facility, like the one we’re at now. This is an excellent location for export and import, so the position of the facility is great. We now have 20 workers, but we plan to expand by the end of the year and we plan to have 40 to 45 workers at the production facility by then – Tomasin said.
The company is located in the Free Zone next to the Goods Transport Center of Sabac.
Refrion has also been visited by the mayor of Sabac, Nebojsa Zelenovic, who pointed out that healthy competition would raise the price of labor in Sabac and emphasize that the new company had not received any sort of subsidy.
– This year, 16 new companies have arrived to our city, and they came at the recommendation of companies which had a good business experience in Sabac. This company initially employed 20 workers, created good working conditions and, as I was informed at the Goods Transport Center, there’s an interest in new space for companies. The number of the unemployed is dropping down, but it’s interesting that more people are needed. At the moment, workers from Sremska Mitrovica are coming to this company. The salary is RSD 55,000. This is what I offer to those who are dissatisfied and looking for a job and this is the best way of raising the average labor price in Sabac, through healthy competition – Zelenovic said.
