Spa in Dublje in Macva to be modeled after Slovenian thermal water spas – Partner with experience in using geothermal springs sought
The company Jovanovic has bought the complex in Dublje, the construction of which started in the late 1980s, and which has now completely deteriorated. The plan is to revive this area as a tourist place.
– There's great potential there. The resources are there, namely, thermal water with medicinal properties – Dusan Jovanovic, the owner of the company, says for eKapija.
He adds that they want to find a partner that already has experience in using geothermal potentials in tourism.
– There's the Slovenians, for example, who have their thermal spas, which are very interesting and well visited. Also, the neighboring Hungary features thousands of spas using thermal water as a resource – Jovanovic says.
The Detailed Regulation Plan for this location allows the construction of a sports and recreation center, but also hotels and accommodation capacities.
– Our vision is to build a center for health tourism, a place where people would come to recover, considering that water has positive effects in treating chronic rheumatic and skin diseases. We want to build spa and wellness facilities, pools, along with accommodation capacities, a hotel or bungalows – Jovanovic says and adds that the preliminary designs are currently being prepared.
