International Energy Fair at Belgrade Fair - October 14-16

International Energy Fair will be held at the Belgrade Fair between October 14 and 16. "Energetika 2009" gathers the most significant domestic and foreign companies and institutions which deal with production and distribution of electric power, coal, gas and oil, and renewable energy sources.

- The existence of regional electricity and gas market and transfer systems that connect European countries, via Serbia, with the world's largest sources of energy have contributed to the importance of the Fair and pointed to the need for introduction of modern technological achievements in local companies and planning of significant investments in overhaul, maintenance and construction of power supply and gas-petroleum units - the organizers announced.

The manifestation whose slogan is "Energy of Nature" is sponsored by the Electric Power Company of Serbia. The aim of the event is to put energy in the place that belongs to it in every developed society, as the driver of life and development, as well as to point to harmful consequences of irrational exploitation of natural resources and irresponsibility of such behavior by the community.

The participants in the Fair are as follows: "Electric Power Company of Serbia", "Srbijagas", "Petroleum Industry of Serbia", "Elektromreže Srbije", ABB, "Partner-Inženjering", "Thyssen Krupp", "Vattenfall", "Amiga", "Arcon", Chamber of Commerce of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, "Prva Petoletka", Expert Gas Distribution Association with its members, "Eurogas" and others.

The accompanying expert programme is rich and diverse. Presentation of the Green book of the Electric Power Company of Serbia speaks in a comprehensive manner about the needs and obligations of public company Electric Power Company of Serbia in the field of environment protection in the period prior to year 2015.

Among the rest, the Electric Power Company of Serbia will sign the Protocol with company WATTPIC, which will open a new chapter in the domain of use of solar energy.

Energy giants - "Srbijagas" and "Petroleum Industry of Serbia" will organize a press conference, and "Srbijagas" will also hold a round table dedicated to cooperation with Russian partners.

Besides, conferences "Possibilities of financing projects for energy efficiency and renewable energy sources in Serbia" and "Relevant issues in Serbia's natural gas market" are expected to draw the attention of expert and broader public.
