The conference “Design for Better Society”, which will be opened by Marko Cadez, the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, will be held in Belgrade on Friday and Saturday, September 27-28.

During the two days, at various lectures and workshops, experiences and examples of successful projects which solve global challenges in health, fighting poverty and education will be presented. They are based on the “Design Thinking” methodology, which puts innovation, agility and inclusion at the center of all activities, the CCIS announced.

On the first day of the conference, at the Cultural Center of Belgrade, the following speakers will present the topics of the democratization of the design process, the freeing of creative potential and the creation of innovative cultures and co-creation of projects: Jeanne Liedtka, Professor at Virginia Darden School of Business (USA), Kara Pecknold, Creative Director at Frog (Germany), Ivar Bjorkman, Executive Director at Openlab (Sweden), and Mick Jackson, founder of WildHearts (UK).

On the second day of the conference at the Stari Grad Cultural Institute, the 50 selected attendees will take part in all-day “Design Thinking” methodology workshops and in finding solutions which contribute to sustainable cities.

The conference “Design for Better Society” is organized by the “Design Thinkers” Civil Association and the Belgrade-based “o5 Transformation Design Consultancy”, with the support of the CCIS.
