Tendering procedure for preparation of technical documentation of future port in Sremska Mitrovica opens

The Port Governance Agency opened the tendering procedure for the preparation of a feasibility study with a preliminary design for the expansion and construction of the Port of Sremska Mitrovica on September 11. The value of the procurement has been estimated at RSD 59.1 million.

The aim of the preparation of the technical documentation is for legal conditions to be secured for the works on the construction of the infrastructure of the future Port of Sremska Mitrovica, the Agency says in a press release.

The construction of the port will enable the city of Sremska Mitrovica to fully realize its economic potentials and enable business entities to use the services of inland water transport as the cheapest form of transport of mass goods.

The port on the Sava in Sremska Mitrovica should have a reloading capacity of at least 1.5 million tons of various kinds of bulk, liquid and general cargo, the documentation says.

The bid submission deadline is October 14.
