Final section on Corridor 10 to be completed by end-October

The works on the eastern leg of Corridor 10, from Nis to the Bulgarian border, are close to completion. The final section, Bancarevo-Crvena Reka, which is 12.3 kilometers long, will be completed by the end of October, the PE Corridors of Serbia said for Novosti. That's when the 9.4-km section between Prosek and Bancarevo, which was completed earlier, should open for traffic as well.

The most demanding part of the job is the construction of a gallery for the purpose of a permanent stabilization of the C6 slope at the entrance to the Bancarevo tunnel in the left traffic lane. The company Integral Inzenjering is already building the gallery, which will be located above the left lane in the length of 160 meters.

– The asphalting works on the left lane and the equipping of the section with traffic signalization are in progress. The equipment of the Bancarevo tunnel with the electro-mechanical equipment is also in progress. The works on the stabilization of another two slopes are also ongoing – the PE Corridors of Serbia says.

The section features five bridges of the total length of 297.3 meters, 27 slopes and the 733-m Bancarevo tunnel.
