Only one bid, made by the Bechtel-Enca consortium, was sent in response to the public call for the selection of a strategic partner for the construction of the Morava Corridor.

As said in a statement by the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, the task force for the selection of a strategic partner for the realization of the project of the construction of the infrastructural corridor of the E-761 highway, Pojate-Preljina section (the Morava Corridor), presided over by Minister Zorana Mihajlovic, has held its second session, during which the bids were opened.

The task force, formed by the Government of Serbia, determined at today's session that only one bid had been sent before the expiration of the deadline and that the bidder was Bechtel-Enca.

After it checks whether the bid meets the requirements, the task force will prepare a report, which it will submit to the Government of Serbia, which is then to reach the decision on the selection of a strategic partner for the construction of the Morava Corridor.

The 112-km Morava Corridor will connect Corridor 10 and the Milos Veliki highway, as well as all the major places in this area with a total populace of 500,000, including Cacak, Kraljevo, Vrnjacka Banja, Trstenik, Krusevac, Stalac and Cicevac.

In addition to the construction of the highway, the project will also entail the regulation of the West Morava river and its tributaries, as well as the construction of TC infrastructure.
