Integrated border crossing Presevo-Tabanovce becomes operational
The integrated border crossing is a result of the Agreement on establishing joint controls at the international border crossing Presevo-Tabanovce, through which the transport of passengers and all types of goods is carried out. The agreement was signed on July 12, 2019, in Belgrade.
The beginning of the operations was made official by the prime ministers of the two states, Ana Brnabic and Zoran Zaev.
– This is potentially a new beginning for the economic, trade and regional cooperation in the Balkans – said Brnabic, whereas Zaev said that the joint border control would bring annual savings of EUR 8 million, explaining that the integrated border crossing provides a single point of control on the border.
The president of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, Marko Cadez, said that the time needed for cargo vehicles to go through the procedure at the border would be halved, Tanjug reports.
