"Delta Maxi": We are not for sale
The public in the region is already familiar with the
ambitions of "Delta Maxi" to expand the business, which includes
potential takeover of "Mercator".
- Slovenian newspapers have published incorrect information on alleged
possibility of takeover of “Delta” by “Mercator” - people from “Delta” told
“Blic” on September 25th.
According to newspaper "Finance", having sold some properties, "Mercator"
is getting ready for takeover of the largest market chain in Serbia. According
to the newspaper’s estimates, "Mercator" would have to set aside
about 400m EUR to take over "Delta Maxi", and the company from
Slovenia would buy half of the Serbian market chain in the first phase, for
which they need about 200m EUR.
"Mercator" would make financial structure by means of approved capital and cash. "Delta" would get 20% of stocks, while the rest, that is, 70m EUR, would be provided by “Mercator” from loans and the sale of real estates. "Finance", however, adds that its sources confirm that "Delta Maxi" is not “forced to start panic sale” yet.
