Submarine cable testing is going according to plan. Once everything is finished and commissioned, anyone who wants to export electricity from this part of Europe will have to do that over Montenegro, says Minister of Economy of Montenegro Dragica Sekulic.

– Submarine cable is going through a dry run, the equipment is being tested and everything’s going according to plan, as far as the dynamics and expertise are concerned, Sekulic told Montenegrin Prva TV, Investitor portal reports.

She added that a tender for the ecological restoration of the Thermal Power Plant had been opened and that the Thermal Power Plant wouldn't be a polluter it used to be.

Speaking on the subject of small hydro power plants , Sekulic said that Where local population opposed, there wouldn't be construction.

– The government's intention isn't to carry out development projects that local population doesn't want, although we believe there are some really good development projects, Sekulic said
