Public invitation for strategic partner for construction of Morava Corridor opens

The Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure opened the public invitation for a strategic partner in the realization of the construction of the infrastructural corridor of the Pojate-Preljina highway section, that is, the Morava Corridor, on Monday, August 5, 2019.

As stated in the public invitation, the future highway, which will be 112-km long and 30-m wide, will feature a total of 139 structures, of which 84 bridges, 26 overpasses and three underpasses, as well as 10 interchanges.

The plan also includes the construction of 3 resting areas and 3 parking lots.

The main obligations of the strategic partner will be to prepare the technical documentation and carry out the works on the construction of this highway section.

Local and foreign legal entities and consortiums of legal entities are eligible tenderers and another requirement is for the applicant to have had a turnover of at least EUR 1 billion in 2016, 2017 and 2018.

One of the requirements, as said, is for the applicants to provide a letter of intent from international institutions, banks or other sources of finance for the financing of the Morava Corridor project in the amount of at least EUR 400 million.

The deadline for the submission of bids is 21 days from the date of the opening of the public invitation, and the opening of the bids is scheduled for August 27, at 8 am.

Let us remind that, at its latest session, the Government of Serbia adopted the Decree on the criteria and the manner of selection of the strategic partner and expert supervision of the works on the realization of the project of the construction of the infrastructural corridor of the E-761 highway, section Pojate-preljina, on the Morava Corridor.
