Nis-based company designs fire cam providing visibility through smoke
The prototype was made by the Nis-based company Photon Optronics, in cooperation with the Innovation Fund of Serbia. As Novosti reports, the camera will become available in the market in about a year.
The president of the European Fire Academy (EFA), Albrecht Broemme, believes that this project will be of great help in rescue missions.
– To do something like this in only half a year? Incredible! – Broemme said.
The EFA is an informal platform which connects rescue services with public institutions, competent authorities and technological partners.
“Artificial Intelligence and new Digital Tools for Firefighting and Disaster Management” was the name of the round table held this weekend in Nis, with 30 participants from various European countries. The event was organized and hosted by two Nis-based companies from the optical electronics sector, Harder Digital Sova and Photon Optronics, as the EFA's technological partners.
