Galenika first company in CEE to implement state-of-the-art SAP software

The local pharmaceutical company Galenika has become the first company in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) to manage its business processes through the SAP S4HANA Cloud, the latest Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution by SAP, which is one of the most important announcements regarding the company since 1947, when it became the fourth pharmaceutical company in the world to start producing penicillin.

According to SAP, the importance of this project is shown by the fact that Galenika has implemented this innovative software solution for efficient management of all business processes before companies from developed countries such as Austria, Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic or Slovakia.

The preparation and the implementation of the project took nine months, and the digitization of the business includes modules such as book-keeping, controlling, sales and distribution, materials management and production planning and execution. The key comparative advantage of this software compared to the previous ones is the innovation which enables the placement of data from all the said sphere on a cloud, which increases security and accelerates all the business processes. Furthermore, the SAP S4HANA cloud solution enables a quicker return on investments, a better infrastructure, increased agility, a smarter ERP cloud and an easier and more reliable management of business processes.
