Tendering for construction of blocks B and C at Clinical Center of Vojvodina to open soon – Project worth EUR 32.6 million

The Information about the beginning of the reconstruction and extension of blocks B and C of the Clinical Center of Vojvodina was adopted at the session of the Government of Vojvodina which was attended by the management of the clinical center.

As it was pointed out, this project was considered at the joint sessions of the Government of Serbia and the Provincial Government, and the money from the third drawdown of the credit agreed between the Government of Serbia and the European Investment Bank is on the government's account.

The EIB has confirmed that the tendering documentation is valid, whereby the conditions have met for the public procurement procedure for the contractor which will build units B and C to open. It is expected for the agreement with the selected bidder to be signed by the end of the year, the Provincial Government says in its press release.

Parallel with this, the management of the Clinical Center of Vojvodina has already obtained the building permit for the reconstruction and extension of units B and C, with the Republic of Serbia as the investor and the Clinical Center of Vojvodina as the user. The investment value of the project is EUR 32.6 million.

The information says that the project entails the construction of a new facility of 33,275.84 m2, of which the gross area for medical activities is 30,689.59 m2. The facility will have five floors and will feature a heated passage between Unit B and the Polyclinic and the Internal Medical Unit, as well as Unit A, where the Emergency Unit is located. The total number of beds is 348, of which 288 are regular beds, 22 are surgical intensive care beds, 24 are surgical semi-intensive care beds and 14 beds for transplantation units. The projected number of operating rooms is 16.
