Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said yesterday, while presenting results of the Government of Serbia in the past two years, that the economic results indicated that there would be room for new salary and pension raises by the end of the year.

– In order for this to be possible, we need to keep on with what we're doing – Brnabic said at the press conference.

The prime minister said that the Government of Serbia had secured direct financial support for a total of 1,106 business entities, with grants of slightly over RSD 2.5 billion, whereas the total investments amounted to slightly over RSD 12 billion.

She pointed out that the employment in the sector of micro, small and medium companies had risen by 140,382 in March 2019 compared to January 2016.

She added that, in order to continue with the structural reforms, Serbia had continued its cooperation with the IMF through a new, non-financial, arrangement.

A lot has been done when it comes to the infrastructure, the prime minister said and reminded that, in two years, over 150 kilometers of highways had been built and 387 kilometers of main and regional railways had been reconstructed.
