Calls for privatization of Lasta, Petrohemija, JAT Tehnika soon
Stevanovic said on TV Prva that the tendering procedure would open for 15 to 20 companies from the privatization portfolio, when interested investors appear.
According to him, in the past few years, the privatization portfolio of around 560 companies has been reduced to 85 or 86 companies.
– I am glad that, from the angle of the Ministry of Economy, privatization is no longer the first item on the agenda. We have now started dealing with other things, being a little more creative – Stevanovic said.
As he explained, there are currently 30 companies for which it is not possible to open public calls, as there are court procedures ongoing, as well as property ownership issues and other problems.
– We also have 11 spas in our portfolio and we expect the public calls for privatization for those to open soon. There are also around ten companies in Kosovo and Metohija, which will depend on the overall solution and consensus regarding the K&M issue – Stevanovic said.
