Bison Track Show – Race in which Russian tractors run at up to 100 km/h
The main awards were the Ant – Zetor 4135F tractor, the MTZ-82 and MTZ-81 Belarusian tractors and a fertilizer dispenser. The award fund was around seven million rubles (over RSD 11 million).
The minister of agriculture and food of Rostov Oblast, Konstantin Rachalvsky, said that the priority of the Government of Rostov was to raise the reputation of agriculturists and equip households with new mechanization.
– These events increase the reputation and emphasize the importance of activities in rural areas.
Bison Track Show primarily aims to improve the tractor drivers' profession and draw young people into the agricultural industry.
The main focus of the tractor contest was the speed and the “struggle”. The route was 10 kilometers long, with sharp bends, water obstacles, inclinations and high-speed sections. The speed reached 100 km/h at certain points.
The winner is Vyacheslav Mironov of Moscow Oblast, who was awarded the Ant – Zetor tractor.
The first Bison Track Show was held in 2002. In addition to tourists from all Russian regions, the event is attended by tourists from Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland, Great Britain, but also the USA, South Korea, Brazil and Argentina.
