Construction works at Institute for Oncology of Vojvodina to begin – Documentation for new facility soon
– Considering that the number of patients with malignant diseases is constantly increasing, this would solve the problem of spatial capacities for the treatment of patients with the most severe forms of oncology diseases, but also patients from the Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases and the Institute for Pulmonary Diseases of Vojvodina in the long term – the Provincial Government announced.
The construction works for the accommodation of two new accelerators and a CT simulator are beginning soon as well. In the old building of the Institute for Oncology, there are three bunkers which are around 30 years old. Adapting that space entails construction works and a full replacement of sewer and air conditioning systems and power installations. The devices will be installed after that.
In the past three year, the Provincial Government has invested RSD 385 million in the Institute for Oncology of Vojvodina for the procurement of medical equipment and infrastructural works.
