Serbian Mining and Energy Minister Aleksandar Antic has stated that the project of the construction of TurkStream through Serbia will have several exit points from the country, and the construction of the Belgrade-Banjaluka gas pipeline route is planned as a continuation of this project.

The TurkStream section through Serbia is 403-km long and the pipes will enter the country near Zajecar and exit it near Horgos, passing through 23 municipalities.

– The next step is the Belgrade-Banjaluka project, which would entail gas supply in Bosnia and Herzegovina – Antic said on TV Pink.

Minister Antic explained that, when it comes to the development of TurkStream, there were several priority grades.

The first priority, he says, is to increase the capacity of the underground gas storage Banatski Dvor, from 450 million cubic meters to 750 million cubic meters.

The Itebej gas storage, with a capacity of around one billion cubic meters, is planned as well, and then the Tilva gas storage near Pancevo, the energy minister said.

Regarding the realization of TurkStream in Serbia, Antic estimated that the project would help the industry in Serbia to have its needs met to a greater extent and cause the arrival of new investors.
