Conflict between Google and Huawei not to reflect on Serbia – Cooperation with Chinese giant to be upgraded
After the initial announcement of imposing restrictions, Google plans to continue cooperating with Huawei over the next 90 days, as the USA has reduced the restrictions against the world's second biggest manufacturer of smart phones.
– The conflict will not affect our cooperation, which is related to the “Belt and Road” initiative. The conflict will not have any consequences. The projects carried out by Huawei will continue – Matic told RTS and pointed out that Serbia planned to enhance the cooperation with the Chinese company.
She explains that the conflict is down to the relations between China and the USA and that she believes that it will pass soon.
Huawei is one of the biggest brands in Serbia.
– When it comes to Serbia, we don't expect the consumers to be affected in any way – Matic says.
The Chinese company has various projects with around forty countries.
– As many as 23 EU states cooperate with Huawei, so they should be more worried. It will certainly not reflect on us – Tatjana Matic said.
