Belgrade to get Head Urban Planner Office
Explaining this decision, Deputy Mayor of Belgrade Goran Vesic emphasized that it was necessary for the office to exist, as the job of the main urban planner is very large in scope. According to him, the office will coordinate the operations of the Secretariat for Urban Planning, the Urban Planning Institute and the Belgrade Land Development Public Agency.
– Based on our authority granted by law, we are founding this office for the main urban planner to help him in his work, so as to be able to do his complex job successfully – Vesic said, as reported by Beoinfo.
As said in the explanation of the decision, the office is to initiate activities to the end of cooperating in preparing land development programs in the segment pertaining to passing planning documents and to consider initiatives for the passing of planning documents, informing the organizational unit of the City Administration of Belgrade of its position.
