Serbia on world map of technological centers – Belgrade and Novi Sad recognized as places for development of innovative companies
A highlighted feature are the tax incentives for innovative companies that the country implemented on January 1, 2019, as well as quality engineering education. Their availability has been recognized as one of the best five in the world. Companies which develop blockchain technologies are also among the top 5, and the potential of video game development has been recognized as well.
The Government of Serbia has invested USD 79 million in developing the technological infrastructure, such as startup centers, science-technology parks, science institutions and technical faculties. The contribution of the Digital Serbia Initiative is especially important.
It is believed that the report confirms the quick growth of the local IT sector, and this is expected to contribute to increasing foreign investments.
