EIB and UniCredit Bank to help Central and Southeast Europe with 12.2 billion EUR
EIB and UniCredit Bank will help the economy in Central and Southeast Europe with total of 12.2 billion EUR in 2009.
EIB and UniCredit Bank cooperate in order to quickly transfer funds intended for small and mid-sized enterprises in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Lithuania, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia and Turkey.
That is a part of realization of joint action plan of EIB, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the World Bank, which promised to grant aid of 24.5 billion EUR for alleviation of effects of the global economic crisis.
The aim of these loans is to alleviate consequences of the credit crisis through approval of mid-term and long-term loans to small, mid-sized and large enterprises under very favorable terms.
