Average net salary in Serbia RSD 52,426 – Belgrade earns most, Leskovac least
Net salaries and wages of employees with indefinite or fixed-term employment contract amounted to RSD 52,752, whereas net salaries and wages of employees in temporary or occasional employment amounted to RSD 33,876.
Employees in legal entities earned RSD 55,746, whereas entrepreneurs and their employees earned RSD 27,583. Net salaries and wages in public sector amounted to RSD 59,798, whereas net salaries and wages in non-public sector amounted to RSD 48,942.
The public sector realized net salaries and wages of RSD 59,798, and public state enterprises earned the most – RSD 70,700. The lowest net salaries and wages were realized at administrations at the local authorities’ level – RSD 50,951.
Observing towns and municipalities, Belgrade realized the highest net salaries and wages (RSD 65,199), followed by the South Banat District, which includes Novi Sad (RSD 52,947), and the Bor District (RSD 51,982). The Jablanica District, with Leskovac as the biggest town, realized the lowest net salaries and wages at RSD 40,945.
In the period January - February 2019, average net salaries and wages increased by 9,3% in nominal terms and by 6,9% in real terms compared to the same period last year.
