Deputy Mayor of Belgrade Goran Vesic said this Saturday, April 20, that the renowned credit rating agency Moody's had published an assessment of the credit rating of Belgrade on April 10, 2019, which is very favorable for the city.

Vesic said that the periodical report gives the Ba3 credit rating to Belgrade, estimating that it is maintaining healthy operating results and an increased co-financing capacity, as well as improved and satisfactory liquidity, Beoinfo reports.

– The rating also takes into account the relatively high debts of the city, but the agency Moody's says that the debts are lowering – Vesic pointed out.

Goran Vesic said that Moody's assessed that credit challenges included the city's need for investments.

He added that the city had issued building permits for the construction of over a million square meters in the preceding three years and noted that the unemployment rate in Belgrade was below 10%.
