Students at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade have visited the construction site of KLP in Simanovci, where the company is building the most modern multipurpose storage of 50,000 m2, in compliance with the FM Global and LEED building standards. The works within Phase 1 will be completed in July 2019.

The students had the opportunity to learn about the technical solutions implemented in designing the facility and the challenges of the construction on the site itself.

Fifty students were accompanied by Andrej Josifovski, an assistant professor and Master of Architecture at the Department for Architectural Technologies.

They also visited the production facility and the warehouse space of the company Konstruktor, the general contractor, where Miljan Dejic, a civil engineer, held a short lecture. At the construction site itself, they listened to a lecture by Katarina Petrovic, the facility's head architect, Nikola Perovic, the project manager, and Marko Jovanovic, the responsible contractor for the KLP facility.

KLP logistics center is designed for maximum space functionality and flexibility of operations.

It features a dynamic and simple form, which emphasizes and symbolizes the speed of modern life and the quick operations at a logistic center.

The Students found the visit very useful and showed an interest and displayed their knowledge, asking the senior engineers at the site many questions.

The long-term cooperation with students at the Belgrade University is very important for KLP and Konstruktor, and is also an obligation under the principles of social responsibility, which needs to be implemented in all spheres of doing business.

KLP is open to any further cooperation with students of technical sciences, entailing constant professional development and a selfless sharing of knowledge.
