Estimated maximum value of Lasta EUR 23 million – Tendering for sale by June 2019

The consulting company BDO Serbia estimated the value of 100% of Lasta's capital between EUR 16 and 23 million, writes Blic daily.

As the daily reports, the public call for tendering for the sale of Lasta is expected to be placed by June.

The daily further writes that BDO Serbia, which was chosen as the privatization consultant near the end of January of the current year, had delivered the evaluation documentation to the Ministry of Economy and the Supervisory Board of Lasta which will consider the details of the estimate on Friday.

However, except considering the evaluation details there is not much else they can do since the Ministry of Economy decides the price of the state's share of 77% that are up for sale as well as the sale's deadline.

BDO Serbia has also determined the model to pay off the company's debts through the sale of assets, the daily writes.

The previously incurred debts that amount to RSD 600 million were regulated by the contract on debt-credential relations, concluded at the end of August 2015 with financial creditors and relates to liabilities incurred before that date. The debts are being paid off on time since the company has been making profit for a few years now, Blic writes and adds that because of the good business results the employees and managers that inspected the documentation claim that the evaluation hasn't been done right.

State Secretary Dragan Stevanovic told Blic he expected the call for tender to be placed during the first half of the year because it was important to prepare all necessary documentation beforehand.
