Flights to Nuremberg, Rome, Frankfurt, Karlsruhe, Hanover, Friedrichshafen, Salzburg, Budapest, Gothenburg, Bologna, Ljubljana and Tivat to become available at Nis Airport on July 1, 2019
As he said, at the session held a day before, the Government of Serbia reached the decision on declaring air lines of public interest, among which are those available at the Nis Airport.
Under this decision, he says, public regular air routes to Nuremberg, Rome, Frankfurt, Karlsruhe, Hanover, Friedrichshafen, Salzburg, Budapest, Gothenburg, Bologna, Ljubljana and Tivat are pronounced a public interest.
At an unscheduled press conference, Bulatovic explained that, except for the Nis-Tivat line, all other routes will be available twice a week throughout the year, until 2023, whereas the Nis-Tivat line will be available three times a week in the May-October period.
Bulatovic says that the government’s decision obliged the City of Nis to propose air lines.
As he said, the Local Economic Development Office prepared a feasibility study for the lines which are not commercial, but are important from the aspects of the development of the City of Nis and southeast Serbia, the economic cooperation of that region and regions abroad, the tourism, but also Serbian citizens living abroad. The office then forwarded to study to the government and the competent ministry, proposing lines which meet all the elements from the government’s decision, Bulatovic said.
