"Jat" to rent two airplanes Boeing 737-700

The Administrative Board of "Jat Airways" has made the decision to start the procedure for rental of two airplanes Boeing 737-700.

In addition to reduction of operational costs, airplanes B737-700 of the new generation will also improve the quality of services of the national air transportation company. Following the expiration of the lease contract, rented aircrafts will be returned to the owners.

The decision made by "Jat Airways" represents the beginning of the fourth phase of the Programme for business upheaval of "Jat Airways" in the period 2009-2013, which was backed by the Government of Serbia in October 2008.

So far, three phases of the programme have been realized, during which "Jat" has introduced and carried out comprehensive business consolidation, costs reduction policy, new flying programme, as well as the programme of measures for voluntary leave of surplus manpower.

Serbian national airliner has four rented airplanes - two airplanes ATR 72-200, one B737-300 and one Boeing 737-400.
