EBRD considering EUR 500 million for projects in Serbia
She said last night that she wanted the EBRD to cooperate even more strongly with public and state companies and the private sector alike and that she believed that the GDP growth of 4% in Serbia in the preceding period was not a coincidence, as claimed by certain economists and business people.
She believes that the projected growth of 3.5% will be revised in the upcoming period and she points out that the previous level of over 4% is a result of the high export growth rate and the growth of demand in the local market.
In order to make a growth of more than 3.5% possible, she says, structural reforms need to continue.
Zuzana Hargitai praised the consolidation of the banking sector, which has been one of the main topics regarding the reforms for years.
