Serbian version of AirCare app launched – Monitoring air quality on mobile phones
– In Macedonia, this useful piece of software has already been downloaded over 100,000 times. It is a great tool in raising people's awareness of the problem and preventing it from being ignored – Ne Davimo Beograd said.
AirCare presents data from over 65 measuring stations throughout the country and informs users about the current degree of air pollution in their location at any moment, namely, the presence of PM 10 and PM 2.5 particles, carbon monoxide, ozone, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, as well as AQI – Air Quality Index.
– The data of the World Health Organization show that over 7,000 people die prematurely each year in Serbia due to exposure to air pollutants, making the country second in Europe in the number of premature deaths caused by air pollution – Ne Davimo Beograd announced and added they thereby wanted to remind how serious the situation is.
