World Music Day in Veliko Gradište - June 19-21

Over the last ten years, municipality of Veliko Gradište (www.velikogradiste.org.rs) traditionally celebrates the World Music Day at Silver Lake every year. This year, municipality of Veliko Gradište, in association with the Embassy of Kindgom of Belgium and KBC Bank, organizes a three-day music spectacle for all lovers of good music and fantastic parties.

Three world-famous bands will give three concerts under the open sky, at the summer stage on a bank of the Danube.

The first day (June 19th) is reserved for the concert by Belgian international orchestra Orchestre International Du Vetex (www.oidv.net). This orchestra is (un)typical brass band with accordion, percussions and violin - and it is made of Belgian and French musicians who play the music of the Balkans and the Middle East.

The band with symbolic name Ishtar will give a concert on the second day (June 20th). The quality of their music is best depicted by the fact that they represented Belgium at 2008 Eurosong with song "O Julissi" and achieved enviable success on the final night of that festival. They are famous around the world for their live performance and quality songs that do not leave anybody indifferent.

We proudly announce a concert by band Atomsko Sklonište from Pula for June 21st. This band is one of the most significant bands of its time, and the history of the band, led by legendary Bruno Langer, represents probably the most complex and the most impressive story ever told on ex-Yu rock territory.
