GEFCO redirects transportation of cars by rail to Serbia
The new project of the two companies began on January 23, when the first test train successfully traveled through the Vrsac border crossing all the way to Sid and the Croatian border.
The trains will transport Ford and Dacia cars from the factories in Romania to Venice, Italy.
A total of 144 trains, that is, the transport of 34,272 Ford cars is planned in 2019, and the agreement on 421 trains that will transport around 100,000 Dacia Renault cars is in the final stages of preparation.
Srbija Kargo says that an increase in the volume of the transport of goods, as well as new trains on the railway Corridor 11, can be expected in the upcoming period.
