Public garage in Safarikova Street in Novi Sad to be designed by DBA

The public garage in Safarikova Street in Novi Sad will be designed by DBA, based in the city, and the job is worth nearly RSD 15 million.

The City Administration for Building Land and Investments (UGZI) awarded the contract for the technical documentation to Djordje Bajilo Architects (DBA), the sole bidder in the public procurement procedure, in late 2018. The company will design the garage, which should be located at the turn currently used by the public transport service together with the Architectural-Construction Institute of Novi Sad, the geodetic company NS Geodet and Belgrade-based companies Home Plan and TVI.

DBA is given 180 days to do the job. The construction of this garage has been announced for the past two years, and the project stalled because of unresolved property-legal relations.

As announced earlier, the tender documentation says that the garage needs to be built based on the design provided at the architectural contest held in May 2008. The 9,500-m2 facility will have two underground levels and four floors and feature around 300 parking spaces, with entrances from Safarikova and Pavla Papa streets.
