Air Arabia announces direct flights from Sharjah to Belgrade
The flights between the two cities will be carried out four times a week – Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. On Tuesdays and Fridays, departures from Sharjah are scheduled for 9 am, whereas arrivals to Belgrade are scheduled for 1 pm. Returns from Belgrade are scheduled for 1.40 pm, whereas arrivals to Sharjah are scheduled for 9 pm. On Thursdays and Saturdays, departures from Sharjah are scheduled for 3.45 pm, whereas arrivals to Belgrade are scheduled for 7.45 pm. Returns from Belgrade are scheduled for 9.45 pm, whereas arrivals to the UAE are scheduled for 5.05 the next morning.
The route will be operated by Airbus A320 planes with 168 passenger seats in the economy class.
Adel Al Ali, the CEO of Air Arabia said that the company was glad to add the capital and largest city in Serbia, Belgrade. The company points out in its press release that Belgrade is an increasingly popular and historic tourist destination with varying architecture.
Air Arabia currently operates flights to more than 155 routes across the globe from four hubs located in the Middle East and North Africa. It will have a lot of competition in Serbia, as Belgrade is linked with Dubai by direct flights operated by flydubai, also available under the Emirates designation under a codeshare agreement. Belgrade is also linked with Abu Dhabi through daily flights operated by Etihad Airways in cooperation with Air Serbia.
