Sasa Vlaisavljevic to control concession of Belgrade Airport
The reason for the formation of the government’s body is the fact that the state remains the owner of the Nikola Tesla Airport and therefore needs to have insight into the realization of the concession, the daily writes.
As Blic reports, Vlaisavljevic has been given the task of setting the postulates of the activities of the state body for the control of the concession, after which he will withdraw and move on to another position.
It is also said that Vlaisavljevic has rejected the offer by Vinci Airports to be at the head of their management team.
– It is up to them who to appoint. There are some indications that they will appoint a foreigner, after Vlaisavljevic’s refusal. That person, as well as all the activities of the French company related to this, will be controlled by a concession team headed by Vlaisavljevic, as the airport is still in our ownership. His task is to set up the body’s activities, after which he will move on to another important public position – a source from the government told Blic.
Vlaisavljevic says for Blic that he had always intended to politely reject any offer by Vinci, as he wants to create the system he would run himself.
