Port of Novi Sad put up for sale again – Price lowered to EUR 7.99 million
At the previous tender, the initial price was EUR 15.98 million, but no bids were sent for the purchase of 99.4% of the company's shares, although the deadline was extended twice.
Eligible companies include those that have been performing port activities continuously in the past ten years, with an income of at least EUR 30 million in 2017 and the reloading worth 1.4 million tons in each of the past three years.
The application deadline is January 18, 2019, and the opening of bids is scheduled for January 22.
The Port of Novi Sad is the only port in Serbia where the state is the majority owner. It reloads around a million tons of goods a year, and its capacities exceed 2.5 million tons. There are around 150 people at the company.
The Government of Serbia expected some of the most renowned port companies, such as Dubai Port World, Germany's Renus and the American Valona Group, to respond to the first tender.
Twelve companies and investors applied at the previous call for the submission of letters of interest.
