Contractor for Belgrade Gondola to be picked by the end of the year, completion in 2019?

Mayor of Belgrade Zoran Radojicic has stated that he expects the contractor for the gondola from Kalemegdan to Usce to be chosen by the end of the year.

– Beginning with Monday, a group of experts will be evaluating the offers and, I hope, pick the best ones. We expect to know who the contractor will be by the end of the year – Radojicic told RTS.

Radojicic says that tourism is an important activity in Belgrade and Serbia and that he expects this and similar projects to lead to an increase in the number of tourists.

– Last year, we had 80,000 tourists, and we earned, directly or indirectly, around EUR 800 million. This year, we expect to earn a billion euros – Radojicic said.
