Business people from Serbia attend Bursa Industrial Summit

Around 40 representatives of the metal and the chemical sectors of Serbia, producers in the fields of pneumatics, hydraulics, metalworking, machines and equipment, are taking part in this year's Bursa Industrial Summit in Bursa, Turkey, from November 28 through December 1.

Their participation is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina, in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce of Bursa, Adonis, TUYAP and the Vojvodina Metal Cluster. The summit features four specialized fairs, dealing with metalworking technologies, metal products, metal processing and welding and automatization.

Business people from Serbia have the opportunity to learn about the latest technologies and innovations and to enhance existing contacts and establish new ones with partners and exhibitors from Turkey and elsewhere through B2B meetings, says Dragan Stevanovic, the secretary of the Association for Chemical Industry at the CCIS, announcing the further enhancement of the cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce of Bursa and Turkish partner associations.

Miroslav Lutovac, the director of the Sector for Industry at the CCIS, points out that the Bursa Summit brings together business people from the field of industry from all over the world and that it is a good opportunity for making new business contacts and expanding the existing ones.

According to him, the industry sector is one of the fastest growing sectors in Serbia, with the biggest growth, amounting to 10.4%, realized in the production of machines and equipment, compared to the first eight months of 2017.

Ana Raicevic, the secretary of the Association for Metal Industry at the CCIS, says that, in the first eight months of 2018, the export of metals, metal products, electric equipment, machines and motor vehicles amounted to close to EUR 4.8 billion, making up 44.4% of the total exports of Serbia and being an increase by 11.8% compared to the same period last year.


Some of the companies from Serbia taking part in the summit are PPT Petoletka and PPT namenska Trstenik, Krušik Valjevo, Zastava oružje Kragujevac, Inmold plast Požega and Resor Gadžin Han.
