New attempt to sell Valjevska Pivara, price at EUR 3.5 million
The deadline for the submission of bids is December 17, and the opening of the bids will take place on December 18.
Valjevska Pivara has around 190 employees and is in the black. The company was taken over by the state following an unsuccessful privatization which was carried out in 2003. The brewery had been bought for RSD 20 million by the consortium of Belgrade’s Atlas Group, which featured Triglav Osiguranje, Gradina Ekspres and what was then Atlas Banka. The bankruptcy proceedings were initiated in 2010, as the company had been unable to settle its debts.
No bids were sent at the latest tender for the sale of Valjevska Pivara, organized this September. The initial price was around EUR 7 million.
