Slovenian newspaper "Dnevnik" announced in its today's issue (April 17, 2009) that the President of the administration of "Droga Kolinska", Slobodan Vučićević, was negotiating with the unknown foreign investment about takeover of that company.

"It is still not clear if Vučićević is going to become partner with Serbian company 'Centroproizvod', which has recently expressed interest in procurement", "Dnevnik" wrote.

The newspaper also announced that international consulting company "A.T. Kearney" would submit proposal for rehabilitation of petroleum holding "Istrabenz" whose owner was "Droga Kolinska".

"If one of the suggested measures is the sale of 90% of Istrabenz's ownership of 'Droga Kolinska', we can expect that it will happen soon, but, although the final decision about possible sale of 'Droga Kolinska' has not been made yet, there are various scenarios about who could become the owner of 'Droga Kolinska' group", the newspaper wrote.

It is added that the President of the administration, Slobodan Vučićević, is one of the very serious candidates for takeover of "Droga Kolinska".

According to the newspaper, "in case 'Droga Kolinska' is sold in parts, experts announce that Vučićević could buy daughter-companies in Serbia - "Soko-Štark", "Grand kafa" and "Palanački kiseljak". Vučićević has already been the majority owner of "Soko-Štark" and "Grand kafa".

"Dnevnik" also wrote that certain Croatian companies - "Podravka", "Kraš" and "Frank" - were interested in takeover of certain parts of "Droga Kolinska", as well as some international companies - "Nestle" and "Coca-Cola", which is interested in Slovenian "Kokta".

According to the newspaper, "Droga Kolinska" registered incomes of 388m EUR in 2008, which is 3% more than one year before, while the profit from business grew by 2%, reaching 25m EUR. The company did not want to reveal the amount of its net profit.

Member of the administration, Enzo Smrekar, did not want to specify the amount of the company's debts, but he said that he guaranteed that the debts of "Droga Kolinska" were not that big.
