Yumco to open facility in Resavica – Around 60 workers to be hired
The municipality has adapted the premises of the company which has been in bankruptcy for around ten years now, and the director general of Yumco, Branislav Trajkovic, says that the machines are being installed and that he expects the first sewing workers to be hired soon.
– The equipment has been secured from our own funds, and we have chosen Resavica for its coal mine, which requires chemical-protective clothing, which means that the sales are guaranteed – Trajkovic says.
Let us remind that the Municipality of Despotovac bought Resavica in bankruptcy – Beko’s former facility – for slightly over RSD 3 million, and the chairman of the local self-government, Nikola Nikolic, is looking forward to the arrival of the company from Vranje due to the fact that women from this mining area will finally be employed. Around 60 female workers, mostly former Beko employees, should be employed.
